On the afternoon of December 25, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province held a conference to review the activities of social support facilities in 2020 and mission orientation in 2021. Overall assessment in the past year social assistance facilities have actively contributed to the task of ensuring social security.
Currently, in Thua Thien Hue province, there are 24 social support establishments. IMG Hue Center for Support and Development of Talented Orphans is one of 07 facilities performing the function of caring for and nurturing orphaned and abandoned children. Regarding the type of establishment, the Center is one of 13 establishments belonging to individuals, organizations and enterprises. Care and fostering establishments shall be appraised and granted operating licenses by management agencies according to regulations.

2020 is a difficult year due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and natural disasters, but social assistance facilities throughout the province have made many positive contributions to the care of the lives of the subjects being raised at the facility, especially together with the local authorities in the prevention of epidemics, prevention of storms and floods to ensure the safety of the subjects. The head of the facility also participates in many other social assistance activities in the community.
The mission direction for 2021 will be to organize many training sessions to improve the professional qualifications of grassroots staff as well as to organize exchanges so that local authorities and institutions together support in the take care and nurture the subjects, in order to further promote and improve the activities of social assistance facilities in the whole province in the coming time.
